About the Job:
Trinity School, a co-educational, K-12 institution located on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, seeks a Lower School Librarian beginning September 2023. Trinity has two Lower School Librarians who serve as the main point of contact for Lower School students (grades K-4), faculty, staff, and families in their interactions with the library. Reporting to the Director of Libraries, the two librarians work in close partnership. Together, they advocate for the needs of Lower School library users within both the Library Department and the larger school community. To that end, the Lower School Librarian will need to create an environment where collaboration and creative problem solving thrive. It is expected that the Lower School Librarian will participate fully in the life of the Lower School, pursue professional growth opportunities, and remain current regarding knowledge of professional practices, the developmental needs of users, and age-appropriate literature and resources.
