About the Job:
Purple Circle, a play-based, parent-cooperative on NYC's Upper West Side is seeking a full-time assistant teacher for children ages 4 and 5 who is committed to progressive, emergent and play-based education. Candidates must have strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as the ability to cooperatively work with a Lead Group teacher, parents and administrative support. Additionally, candidates should have a warm, caring and enthusiastic disposition with a firm grasp of child development, including supporting children's social/emotional development. The position is available immediately.

Two year slassroom experience, preferred.
Knowledge of Patricia Carini's Descriptive Review process a plus!
