About the Job

Reporting to the Associate Head of School for Admission and Enrollment and the Acting Director of Lower School Admission, the Assistant Director of Lower School Admission will play an important role on the admission team. This individual is responsible for conducting child and parent interviews with prospective families for Pre-Kindergarten through Fifth Grade admissions, as well as writing reports on all interviews. The role also involves representing Riverdale to prospective students and families and feeder schools and programs, leading campus tours and participating in all admission-related events, serving on the admission committee, and assisting with the daily operations of the admission office. The Assistant Director of Lower School Admission will also have the opportunity to become acquainted with current Riverdale students and families. This position requires some evening and weekend hours.

This position will begin on July 1, 2022.





Candidate Requirements

The ideal candidate must have a strong ability to communicate effectively with children and their parents. This individual must have strong interpersonal skills and exhibit the energy to thrive in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will also be an innovative, strategic, and analytical thinker who functions effectively in a team-oriented office. This individual should be organized and detail-oriented and should be able to demonstrate competency with technology and database programs.
